Australian Institute of Business (AIB) has partnered with the Australian HR Institute’s CEO Lyn Goodear in an effort to improve the delivery of their business and leadership curriculum.
Ms Goodear will join the school as an AIB Industry Guest Lecturer as part of the Industry Partnerships initiative, which launched in 2017 as a way for AIB to work with prominent organisations and business leaders to strengthen students’ practical learning.
As Industry Guest Lecturers, real-world business leaders share their professional experiences on the lecture podium, giving AIB students a unique and practical understanding of how MBA theories and principles are applied directly to the workplace.
“Our Industry Partnerships represent a new era in education for AIB,” AIB Joint-CEO Joel Abraham said.
“We are excited that AIB students can learn from the likes of Lee Tonitto, CEO of Australian Marketing Institute; Matt Tindale, Managing Director of LinkedIn Australia and New Zealand; Laura Ruffles, CEO ANZ and Global COO of Corporate Travel Management; and now Lyn Goodear from AHRI.”
Ms Goodear has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) since 2012, and has been with the institute since 2005 as National Manager of Professional Development and Deputy CEO.
She is also the Secretary General and Treasurer of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management and has held leadership and management roles within the education sector.
“We’re proud to partner with AIB and join their expert team of Industry Guest Lecturers,” Ms Goodear said.
“I look forward to sharing my leadership and business experience for the benefit of all current and future AIB students.”
the new partnership will also allow AHRI Practising Certification Program graduates to fast track their pathway into The Agile MBA at the conclusion of their APC studies.
“As the practical business school, AIB has always been focused on providing industry-relevant education to students,” Mr Abraham said.
“This initiative will further improve the high-quality learning experience for students in Australia and around the world.”
Ms Goodear will provide AIB students with first-hand knowledge on topics from leadership and entrepreneurship to marketing and human resource management.
