Victoria University’s (VU) College of Business will offer the first 100 per cent online version of its internationally recognised MBA program from September this year. The new offering responds to the demands of busy working professionals, offering cutting-edge career-based curricula developed with industry and unparalleled networking opportunities.
Students will enjoy greater success with VU Online, with VU tutors having more time allocated for individual student support than the industry standard, thus providing a higher level of one-on-one support.
The accelerated but flexible online MBA course structure enables students to complete the 12-unit course anywhere in Australia, while keeping in regular contact with classmates and academics. As with the on-campus program, VU’s online MBA allows busy professionals to complete the program part-time in just two years.
Delivered by Victoria Graduate School of Business, VU’s MBA was awarded a tier-one rating in CEO Magazine’s 2018 Global Rankings.

Independent research shows MBA graduates are more likely to be hired in a competitive job market and to benefit from the higher salaries that enhanced job opportunities bring.
The QS Top MBA Jobs & Salary Trends Report 2016/17, which collated data on salaries earned by MBA graduates around the world, found that Australian MBA holders earned an average of US$122,950 ($175,643), the fourth highest MBA salary level worldwide.
The VU online MBA is structured on six study periods a year, with intakes in September, October, January, March, May and July. This flexible structure helps students to fit coursework around work and family commitments.
Professor Walsh said: “The online MBA features flexible entry and exit points. Students can complete as many as six units in a year and complete all units consecutively to graduate faster.”
“Alternatively, students may pause and take a break if needed, or achieve a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration after successfully completing four units. This feature allows students to receive recognition for their progress. It’s up to them.”
