Five MBA Scholarships Available For 2020

An MBA can be an incredibly rewarding experience that delivers instant financial and career returns. However, paying for an MBA is the biggest obstacle most potential students face in commencing their studies.

Most of Australia’s business schools offer a range of full or part time scholarships that can ease the financial pressure with a total of more than $10 million available to students.

If you are thinking of doing an MBA in 2020 here are five scholarships that you may qualify for.

Queensland Business Monthly and Griffith University MBA Scholarship

QBM and Griffith Business School are giving aspiring leaders a chance to apply for a full MBA scholarship and other scholarships worth up to $130,000.

Successful applicants will receive a full Griffith MBA scholarship valued at approximately $51,750.

There is also a runner-up prize for a Griffith MBA half scholarship, valued at approximately $25,875 and four finalists will receive scholarships to the value of three Griffith MBA courses, worth approximately $12,937.

To enter, submit an application for stage one. If you are selected, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a Griffith MBA masterclass and submit a reflective essay on the topics addressed.

Eligible applicants progressing to the masterclass will be informed on Monday 9 September and a panel of judges will award the scholarships in October 2019.

The Monash MBA Australian Women in Leadership Scholarship

Monash Business School is committed to supporting women in advancing their professional careers and offers the MBA Australian Women in Leadership Scholarship, which is awarded to encourage and support Australian professional women in their pursuit of an MBA.

This scholarship is awarded by the Monash Business School Leadership and Executive Education team. The scholarship may be awarded to up to six MBA student per cohort; each scholarship is valued at up to $16,000.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an applicant of the Monash MBA Program in Australia and a female Australian citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa.

The scholarship application process is integrated into the three stages of application for admission to the Monash MBA program: application, interview, and notification.

When completing the on-line application for admission to the Monash MBA, applicants should upload a series of documents including a statement of purpose. Applicants who wish to be considered for this scholarship must also upload an additional statement – the scholarship application statement – to make their case for consideration the MBA Australian Women in Leadership scholarship.

The Reid Malley Foundation Scholarship at Melbourne Business School

The Reid Malley Foundation Scholarship provides assistance to a candidate who demonstrates financial needs to be able to commence in the full-time MBA program.

The scholarship provides up to $25,000 towards the MBA full-time MBA program. Eligible full-time MBA candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support.

The Reid Malley Foundation was established in 2014 by Allan and Janet Reid OAM who, together with Gary Graco, a partner in Moore Stephens (accountants), are the Directors of the Trustee Company.

The AGSM @ UNSW Business School Luminis AGSM Wharton Business Innovation Scholarship

Co-funded by AGSM @ UNSW Business School and Luminis Foundation the Luminis AGSM Wharton Business Innovation Scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver plus a stipend of up to $AU41,750 for international exchange program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

It has been designed for outstanding MBA candidates who demonstrate leadership potential and business innovation.

You will be eligible to apply for this scholarship once you have submitted your application for the MBA program. Short-listed candidates will be invited to an interview. Applications close 30 November 2019.

This scholarship is for outstanding MBA candidates who demonstrate leadership potential and a record of business innovation. In addition to meeting the AGSM MBA Admissions Requirements, scholarship applicants will be further assessed on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated record of business innovation and leadership
  • Outstanding academic achievement in previous studies
  • Ambassadorial qualities and potential contribution to the Australian business community
  • One recipient per year

University of Sydney Future Leaders MBA Scholarship

The University of Sydney Future Leaders scholarship covers full tuition fees for a maximum of four years of part-time study valued at over $60,000.

The Future Leaders MBA Scholarship is open to all students who meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the part-time MBA. Applicants need not have applied for the degree prior to applying for the scholarship – however – only those applicants deemed eligible for entry to the part-time MBA via the prevailing admissions processes are eligible to be awarded the scholarship.

Entrants must complete an initial application and submit a statement of motivation. Shortlisted applicants are selected from all applicants and are required to attend a masterclass at our Sydney CBD campus and submit a short reflective essay. Following the masterclass a final shortlist of candidates will be invited to attend an interview by the judging panel.

Applications are now open for the Future Leaders MBA Scholarship. Apply online by 16 September 2019.
