AGSM MBA Lifts 12 Places In Latest FT Global MBA Rankings

AGSM’s full-time MBA program has ranked 67th in the Financial Times 2025 Global MBA Rankings, of the world’s best global MBA programs – up 12 places from last year.

AGSM is the only MBA program in Australia ranked in this year’s latest FT ranking of the top 100 programs. After debuting on the ranking at 63rd last year, The University of Sydney MBA dropped out of the top 100 this year.

The Financial Times Global MBA Rankings are calculated based on 20 criteria. Alumni responses inform eight criteria that together contribute 61% of the ranking. Eleven criteria are calculated from school data, accounting for 29% of the ranking. KPMG audits a number of schools every year. The remaining criterion, the research rank, counts for 10%.

The global list was headed by two US business schools, Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania) and Columbia Business School with IESE Business School in Spain. European MBA programs scored six of the top 10 places due to their performance in high scores in categories measured by the FT: carbon footprint, international students and weighted salary.

The rankings showed Wharton graduates were making a weighted salary of $US241,522 three years after graduating. Columbia MBA rads were making $US242,747 and AGSM graduates were makng $US139,766 ($AUD219,440)

AGSM ranked equal first in the world for Carbon Footprint and in the top 10 for Sector Diversity (5), Female Faculty (8), and International Mobility (10—up from 15th last year).

AGSM was ranked 26th for Value for Money, calculated using salary today, course length, tuition and other costs, including income forgone during the MBA, demonstrating the enduring appeal of Australia as a post-graduate study destination.
