The University of Sydney Business School and the Financial Review’s BOSS Magazine have opened applications for the $60,000 Emerging Leader’s scholarship.
The Emerging Leader’s scholarship is a part of the BOSS Emerging Leaders program which was developed by BOSS Magazine in partnership with the Business School to support and mentor Australia’s future business leaders. The program has since attracted some of Australia’s brightest young business talent.
Associate Dean (Management Education), Professor Richard Hall has described the Emerging Leaders Scholarship as “a life changing opportunity for the recipient to acquire the knowledge and personal skills needed to join the next generation of senior leaders”.
“Our MBA is committed to developing practical leadership skills and is heavily based on learning by doing and on addressing real business challenges and problems,” Professor Hall said.
The first recipient of the Emerging Leaders MBA Scholarship was Anita Mitchell, who is working for Lend Lease as General Manager, Sustainability, on the $6 billion Barangaroo development in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
Over a series of rigorous judging rounds, applicants will compete for an incredible prize including a $60,000 MBA Scholarship commencing in February 2015, media training with AFR, publication of an opinion piece in BOSS Magazine, and membership to the BOSS Emerging Leaders Program.
Applications for the Emerging Leaders MBA Scholarship open on Monday 4 August.
