Course Overview

Take on the business world with confidence when you level up your skillset with the online MBA course at AGSM, part of UNSW Business School. Gain a solid understanding of corporate strategy, leadership, finance and more and learn how to apply your newfound knowledge to your professional endeavours.

Students will unlock an accelerated path to C-suite roles or general management within large-scale businesses, government organisations or not-for-profit companies. If it’s flexibility in learning that you’re after, this unique part-time, fully flexible MBA can be studied entirely online, via face-to-face courses, or a personalised combination of both delivery modes.

Course Structure

The AGSM MBAX (General) is a part-time program that can be completed in anywhere between 2 to 6 years. There are 12 courses in the program, totalling 72 units of credit (UOC). Students must complete:

2 compulsory courses – 12 UOC

  • Leadership (starter course)
  • Strategy

4 core courses – 24 UOC

  • Accounting and Financial Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Data Analytics and Decision-making
  • Economics in Management Practice
  • Managing People & Organisations
  • Marketing Management

6 electives – 36 UOC

Any AGSM course, including electives across the following specialisations:

  • Change
  • Cyber Security Leadership
  • Finance
  • Law
  • Social Impact
  • Sustainable and Inclusive Business
  • Technology

Entry Requirements

Students will need to have:

  • A recognised undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) and a minimum of 2 years professional or managerial work experience, or
  • At least 6 years professional work experience

Note: Meeting the entry requirements does not guarantee you will be offered a place on this program.

Please note that 2 years’ post-graduate experience is an absolute minimum requirement for entry. Most of our MBAX students have on average about 11 years of work experience. You will need to demonstrate outstanding work and study progression to gain admittance into this program with less than 3 to 4 years of post-graduate work experience.
