With digital disruption impacting all industries and services, Kumar Parakala believes that his MBA equipped him with the skills and understanding to tackle this ever-changing business environment.
After serving in several executive leadership roles, Kumar Parakala decided to undertake an MBA with Central Queensland University. He saw how the program could provide him with the necessary foundation in business and enhance his chances for global success.
“New business models are emerging. Major companies are embarking upon strategies to leverage digital technologies to enable transformation of their businesses. Companies are developing and deploying apps to enhance enterprise mobility,” Mr Parakala said.
“Whilst apps provide efficient technology solutions to improve mobility, the fundamental reason for deploying apps and how they will support the ongoing business must be properly analysed prior to their development.
“An MBA program allows students to understand the fundamentals of not only how a business operates but also how new business models can be created by leveraging new technologies.
“Further, the skills and training provided by the MBA program provides an excellent business management skills foundation and equips them with tools for future success in the digital era.”
Mr Parakala believes his MBA built on what he had already learned in over 15 years holding leadership roles, and was key to enhancing his management skills.
“I actively leveraged my learnings from the MBA program related to Business Strategy, Marketing, Information Technology, Financial Management, and Law during my 15-year senior executive career, post completion of my MBA at CQUni.
