Highly-regarded marketing expert Professor Mark Gabbott has been appointed as the new Dean of the University of Adelaide’s Adelaide Business School.
He has previously held senior positions at Macquarie University for the past eight years, including Executive Dean – Faculty of Business and Economics, and Pro Vice-Chancellor, International.
Professor Gabbott said he was excited about the opportunity to join the University of Adelaide.
“The Adelaide Business School, including its MBA, has an extremely good reputation within South Australia. I look forward to getting to know local business and government as we work to build on that reputation and make it a recognisable brand internationally,” he said.
He will commence as Dean in a part-time capacity from 1 November, and then full-time from 3 January 2017.
The Adelaide Business School and its MBA are accredited by the US-based AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International, the longest-serving global association dedicated to advancing management education worldwide.
He has published four books and more than 50 book chapters and journal articles. His research has been published in a variety of international academic journals and he currently sits on the editorial boards of three international marketing journals.
