The University of South Australia’s Business School has joined a select group of universities to have retained EQUIS accreditation for more than 10 years.
The school recently secured EQUIS accreditation for a further three years, an acknowledgement of its ability to increasingly raise its quality, develop international business education perspectives and closely align its education to the needs of businesses and industries globally.
University of South Australia Vice Chancellor Professor David Lloyd said accreditation was a great achievement.
“Not only to know what needs to be done to keep your edge in what is a very dynamic part of the education sector, but to be able to achieve that – to be able to keep innovating and keep looking for the improvements that set you apart, represents a determination and commitment to quality of the highest order,” Prof Lloyd said.
“I’m delighted that we have retained EQUIS accreditation and that the School continues to build its reputation as a top flight business educator.”
UniSA Pro Vice Chancellor Business and Law, UniSA Business School, Professor Marie Wilson said the EQUIS accreditation was a vital achievement for the University.
“EQUIS is much more than a stamp of approval: each assessment period, the bar is set higher and the University and the School must meet new and exacting standards so that we can deliver what we promise for our students – a professional education of great quality and relevance to industry and one which will allow them to take their skills into a global marketplace,” Prof Wilson says.
“We want the UniSA Business School to be recognised in the top five in the country and to have an international reputation for excellence, enterprise, ethics and innovation in all it does, from research and teaching, through to the professionalism of our services and support.
“Key to this assessment round was the requirement that a Business School should ensure ethical, socially responsible and sustainable approaches to how and what it teaches and its research.”

UniSA’s MBA has been ranked five-star for the past six years, was ranked in the top five in Australia in the 2013 Boss rankings.
